Wanna know how I know I’m getting old?

A few weeks ago my daughter (5) painted a birdhouse. We hung the birdhouse in a tree and forgot about it.

This morning I’m walking past the back patio and what do I see? An eastern bluebird selecting his winter home in my daughter’s birdhouse!

You might be asking “but John, how do you know it’s an eastern bluebird?”. Because I took a picture of it, ran it thru google lens, and then proceeded to learn everything about the eastern bluebird.

And that’s how I know I’m getting old.

Sometimes after a challenging morning drop off with the kids I play myself relaxing music.

Anyone else wonder if Bon Jovi has made it there yet? It’s been since ‘86.

If you can back up a trailer while your wife watches and judges and survive to tell the tale it was meant to be.

I think Hanson was right.

I just boarded a plane behind a very nice lady carrying a plastic bag full of homemade buttermilk biscuits. I know this because she told me after one fell onto the ground between us. I’ve never flown with homemade baked goods, but maybe this is the way?
