In the continued effort to find a solution to the chlorine shortage I would ask you to consider Borates. It has a lot of helpful benefits. It keeps the pH of the water from going up (pH buffer against rises in pH)
Helps prevent algae (it is an algaestat, not an algaecide)
Lowers chlorine demand (preventing algae lowers the need for chlorine)
Helps protect HOCl (hypochlorous acid – the killing form of free chlorine) from UV destruction
Water feels softer and silkier
Water looks clearer and sparkles
Borates will stay in the water until drained. There is an initial treatment and then a top off at the beginning of each year. Initial setup will cost $160. Let me know if you are interested.

Houston is one the highest pollen spots in the USA. To help keep it out of the pool, use good practices such as washing your decks and sidewalks around your pool when it starts to collect. This will prevent pollen from being swept into your pool, affecting clarity between weekly treatments/service.

Pollen buildup in your pool can cloud the water and can give the perception that algae is present. Yellow and blue mixed together make green, thus giving a green tint to the pool water. When pollen sinks and collects at the bottom of a pool it is often mistaken for mustard algae due to their similar structure.
Make sure we are increasing pool run times and scheduling filter cleanings.

He told me to be fair and not take advantage, treat people how you want to be treated. I have followed this and watched Bravo Company Pools grow.
