Are you about to stage your home for an open house? Don’t make these 3 common staging mistakes!

DON’T…

1️⃣ Add decor. Though it feels counterintuitive, you want to remove more than you add, so potential buyers can envision themselves in the space.

2️⃣ Leave any personal items in the home, such as photos or mail. You want to remove everything personal so they don’t distract from the features and “new feel” of the home. (This also includes removing your car!)

3️⃣ Do a light cleaning. Do a DEEP cleaning, and hire a professional if possible to ensure you’re removing all stains, spots, and smells.
