What a great night with so many Montgomery County friends supporting the Texas Youth Summit! This faith-based organization focuses on promoting conservative values to Gen Z. Keep fighting the good fight Christian Collins. 🇺🇸

Taxpayer Empowerment | Ep. 25: Why The Woodlands Has Some of the Lowest Property Tax Rates in Texas - Texas Public Policy Foundation 04/28/2026

I recently sat down with Jose Melendez, the Campaign Director of the Taxpayer Protection Project at TPPF, to discuss property taxes and how The Woodlands Township leads the state with one of the lowest property tax rates in Texas. Please take a listen and I’d love to hear your feedback.

Taxpayer Empowerment | Ep. 25: Why The Woodlands Has Some of the Lowest Property Tax Rates in Texas - Texas Public Policy Foundation In this episode of Taxpayer Empowerment, we sit down with Brad Bailey, Chairman of The Woodlands Township, to break down one of the most successful low-tax government models in Texas. Why do some Texans keep seeing rising property tax bills even after lawmakers pass tax relief? What is The Woodlands...

I really enjoyed speaking to The Woodlands Republican Women this week. I spoke about my conservative upbringing and touched on a few issues I’d like to work on if I get elected to the Texas House. And thank you ladies for the generous campaign donation! It is much appreciated!

The Marine Medal of Honor Memorial in Town Green Park is a solemn reminder of the 17 Texans who answered the call to serve and earned our nation’s highest military honor, the Medal of Honor. The Woodlands is proud to be home to this memorial, and I was proud to honor their sacrifice and recognize their families during the Wreath Laying ceremony. We will never forget.

Earlier this week, I was invited to speak to George’s Coffee Club. Whose members include many of the leaders who worked under George Mitchell and were responsible for developing The Woodlands. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous talking about a community they built and cared for. We are blessed to have leaders in our community like the members of George’s Coffee Club. They know our history better than anyone. They are passing on their knowledge to the next generation to carry on Mr. Mitchell’s vision for the community we all love.

The Memorial Hermann Ironman is such an inspirational event! My son and I were there for the early morning swim start, my daughter and I were honored to hold the finish line tape for the winner and the next day we all went to the awards ceremony to congratulate all the Ironman finishers.
A big thank you to the over 3,000 volunteers and sponsors who make this event such a success. And while this year was bittersweet due to the death of one of the participants, the dedication and hard work of these athletes will always inspire me to maintain that “never give up” attitude.

The Texas Public Policy Foundation is the gold standard of conservative policy think tanks. Their work has advanced historic policy reforms in Texas. Earlier this week, I attended their Texas Policy Summit and they armed me with a lot of data and research to bring conservative solutions to the most pressing policy issues for my first session as a member of the Texas House.

Had a blast celebrating Commissioner Ritch Wheeler, birthday at the Beasley Boil. Matt Beasley crushed the crawfish boil again. It’s always a good time when elected officials across Montgomery County get together.
