If you've ever gotten confused as to how to calculate your mortgage rate, simply use this formula 👇

Mortgage Rate = Interest Rate / Prime Rate

For example, if the mortgage rate is 5.5%, and the prime rate is 3.5%, the interest rate on the mortgage would be 7.25%. If the prime rate rises to 4.0%, the interest rate on the mortgage would be 7.5%.
