Years ago, I taught healthy cooking classes for kids in local schools located in food deserts, and it quickly became one of my favorite things to do. At the time, my son, Zion was 4 years old and he would attend and participate in every class with me. ❤️
Watching the kids, learn how to prepare their own healthy meals and discover the power of plant based food was truly transformational - and it reminded me why I love this work so much.
Starting Wednesday, September 3rd, Zion and I will be leading families in the kitchen for a brand new online Healthy Families Cooking with Kids series! 🌱
In collaboration with the Southern Nevada Health District for Childhood Obesity Awareness Month and Trader Joe’s, we’re bringing these classes back, to help families cook healthy, fun and affordable meals together!
