As a pharmacist, there are 3 medications I would avoid at all cost: NSAIDs, PPIs, and Statins.

Yes, they work — but they often mask symptoms while creating new problems down the road. In my Reel, I explain why I’d avoid them.

👇 Check below where I’ve listed the root-cause approaches for each condition these drugs are usually used for.

1. NSAIDs (pain & inflammation)
- Instead of just blocking inflammation, look at why you’re inflamed.
	•	Anti-inflammatory diet (cut processed foods, add omega-3s & antioxidants)
	•	Magnesium, curcumin, and a high quality omega-3

2. PPIs (acid reflux/heartburn)
- Heartburn often comes from low stomach acid or food sensitivities.
	•	Digestive support: enzymes, betaine HCl, apple cider vinegar
	•	Probiotics and gut healing support
	•	Avoid trigger foods (alcohol, grains like wheat and corn, and dairy)

3. Statins (cholesterol)
👉 Cholesterol isn’t the full story — inflammation and particle size matter more.
	•	Advanced lipid testing (ApoB, oxidized LDL, Lp(a))
	•	Diet: more fiber, omega-3s, less sugar
	•	Supplements: High quality omega-3, bergamot, and Berberine combo is great optimize cholesterol

✅-Instead of Ibuprofen use SKULLCAP
✅-Instead of Omeprazale use digestive enzymes prior to meal and a tsp of Apple cider vinegar in 8 ounces of water to help digest larger meals.
