Barry and I don't usually post about the competition while voting is going on, so we wanted to take a moment to say how much this means to us. We're busier than ever, planning for the second half of the year and working on some really exciting projects with wonderful clients and project partners.

We received our first Readers' Choice award back in 2022, but this is our first year winning for Digital Marketing, and we're very grateful. It's been amazing to see how Roots has evolved over the years, and we're thankful that so many of you have followed along and supported us through every chapter.

We're so proud of the work we're doing as consultants, marketers, designers, and creative partners for businesses and nonprofits not only here in Hernando County, but throughout Florida and the Southeast. I'm beyond lucky to call Barry my business partner. Not only for his incredible design talent, but for the dedication and heart he pours into everything we do.

Thank you for the support, referrals, encouragement, and trust you've given us over the years. We truly don't take it for granted. 🙏

Congrats to all of this year's winners and nominees! At the end of the day, there are so many people and businesses in our community who deserve to be recognized. We're lucky to know and work with so many of you, and to be part of such an incredible community.

The Black Diamond/Pine Ridge/Citrus Hills mailer is hitting mailboxes this week. Best days to mail EDDM?

For most local campaigns, Tuesday through Thursday are the sweet spot, with Tuesday often performing best. Midweek mail avoids the Monday backlog and the Friday slowdown, helping your message get noticed when people are more likely to act.

I brought some extra mailers out to the Watermellon Festival this weekend, just in case I ran into any advertisers and to take picutres in bright light. I generally give out extras after the mailings and after I've given extras to the advertisers. This is a sneak peek at them before they go into mailboxes this week.

Tomorrow is Crystal River Uncorked! Spend the afternoon enjoying local wine, all while supporting a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the heart of downtown Crystal River 🍷❤️

Here's a few throwbacks from last year's event. Barry will be volunteering with the Crystal River Main Street team who has worked so hard on this event, and I'll be on the frontlines snapping photos and sippin' wine, so come out and see us!

We had a great time at the Florida Main Street Spring Quarterly hosted by Crystal River Main Street earlier this week!

When we began planning this with Alison and the CRMS team, the goal was to showcase the downtown charm and beauty of Crystal River. We kicked things off Sunday evening with a sunset tour of King’s Bay and the surrounding islands, departing from The Tiki at Paddletail Lodge during the Welcome Reception. Everyone got to do some sightseeing of manatees, birds, and even a baby gator in the distance. Jamie from Anchored Souls ran an interactive mural activity for the attendees to bring art into the evening.

Monday featured a full session day with a presentation by Dr. Katherine Loflin and a Downtown Walk, followed by Karaoke Night at a local favorite, St. Johns Tavern. On Tuesday, the Mayor greeted guests and provided updates on local happenings, followed by a Florida Downtown Association update and a presentation by FDOT. Our Map to Main team (Natalie, Barry, and I) wrapped up the event with our session, "Turning Identity Into Place," and we were pleased to see everyone working on ideas to bring back to their communities.

We are grateful to Florida Main Street and Crystal River Main Street for the opportunity and look forward to speaking again at Preservation on Main Street this summer. See you in Cocoa, Main Street friends!
