🦅 SPRINGSTEAD HIGH SCHOOL — WEEK AT A GLANCE
📅 September 28–October 4, 2026

Hello, Springstead families!

We’re heading into another busy week around the Nest, and Homecoming is now just one week away! We have two weeks remaining in the first quarter, plenty happening with our students and athletics, and some important reminders as we prepare for Homecoming.
Here’s your Week at a Glance!

📚 TWO WEEKS LEFT IN THE FIRST QUARTER
We are down to just two weeks remaining in the first quarter!
Families, please make sure you are checking Skyward regularly and talking with your students about their grades, missing assignments, and anything they still need to complete.
This is something we encourage throughout the entire year, but with the end of the quarter approaching, now is especially important. Students, make sure you know where you stand in each of your classes, communicate with your teachers, complete your work, and make sure you have everything you need to finish the quarter strong!

🚗 ARRIVAL, DISMISSAL & PARKING REMINDER
We also need everyone’s help being good neighbors to the homes and businesses surrounding our campus.
Students and families should not park on private property or in nearby business parking lots unless they have permission to do so. Vehicles parked on private property may be subject to being ticketed or towed.
For student drop-off and pick-up, please utilize the approved areas at the front of the school. Following our established procedures helps keep everyone safe while also respecting our neighbors around Springstead.

💬 PRINCIPAL’S CORNER
As we get ready for Homecoming and head toward the end of the first quarter, this is a great time to stay focused on the habits that help us be successful.
Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep supporting each other. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the field, on the stage, or simply how we treat each other each day, the little things we do consistently make a difference.
Let’s finish this first quarter strong and get ready for an awesome Homecoming Week!

Have a great week, Eagles!

Here’s what you need to know for the week!

📝 ALGEBRA 1 EOC RETAKES
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we will be administering Algebra 1 EOC retakes for students who still need to satisfy their math assessment graduation requirement.
Teachers have shared the list of students who are scheduled to test, and testing assignments are also posted in the cafeteria, 100 Hall, and 300 Hall.
This is another great opportunity for some of our sophomores, juniors, and seniors to check an important graduation requirement off their list. Come ready, put your best foot forward, and show what you know!

🏐 STAFF APPRECIATION VOLLEYBALL NIGHT — TUESDAY
Tuesday night is a special one for our Eagle Volleyball program as we celebrate our Springstead staff!
On Monday, our volleyball players will each recognize a staff member by giving them a special shirt with the player’s name and number on the back to wear to Tuesday night’s game.
But we want ALL of our staff there! Any additional staff members who come out Tuesday night will also receive a shirt, and we’ll have food and raffles throughout the evening.
Volleyball hosts Hernando with JV beginning at 5:30 PM and Varsity following at about 6:30 PM.
Come out and help us celebrate the staff members who make a difference for our Eagles every day!

💬 PRINCIPAL’S CORNER
As we settle into the routines of the school year, it can be easy to get comfortable and become complacent. This is when consistency matters most.
Consistency doesn’t guarantee success, but inconsistency guarantees failure. We have to continue holding each other accountable, taking care of each other, and pushing each other to be better every single day.
At the same time, our goal should be progress over perfection. Waiting for everything to be perfect only leads to delay. Real growth comes from taking action, learning from our mistakes, making adjustments, and continuing to move forward.
Not every day is going to be perfect, and that’s okay. What matters is that we keep moving in the right direction. Even small progress is better than standing still.
Stay consistent. Keep growing. Keep pushing each other toward greatness.

Have a great week, Eagles!
Keep Flying Higher! 🦅
