Small business owners:
Could someone who has never met you figure out how to give you money in under 60 seconds?

I’m serious.

Go to your page or website.
Pick something you sell.
Now pretend you’re a stranger.
Where’s the price?
How do I book?
How do I order?
Where are you located?
Do I DM?
Call?
Fill something out?
Click somewhere?
You would be AMAZED how many businesses accidentally create five little roadblocks between:

“I want that.”
and
“I bought that.”

Sometimes visibility isn’t about reaching MORE people.
Sometimes it’s about making things easier for the people already looking.

So what exactly happens during a Business Visibility Session?

First: I’m not handing you some generic marketing worksheet and telling you to post more Reels. 😂
We’re looking at YOUR business.

Before (yes, I start my work before I meet with you!) and during our conversation, I’m looking at things like:

💜 What someone finds when they Google you
💜 Your social profiles
💜 Your website/customer journey
💜 Your message and offers
💜 How easy it is to contact/book/buy
💜 What you’re currently spending time on
💜 Where opportunities may be getting missed

Then we talk.
What’s frustrating you?
What’s working?
What have you already tried?
What are you actually trying to accomplish?

And we leave with priorities, because the answer isn’t “do 47 more things.”
It’s knowing which things actually deserve your attention.

This Sunday, CCFY will be hanging out at Duck Donuts in Brooksville for their 1st Annual Golden Duck Jeep Event, and I get the very important job of helping judge the Jeeps!

Come out from 10 AM to 12 PM, grab some donuts, check out the Jeeps, and see who takes home a Golden Duck.

I absolutely love getting to be part of things like this in our community. Supporting local businesses, connecting with people, showing up for fun events, and helping bring a little more attention to what’s happening right here in our area is exactly what CCFY has evolved into.

Cookies and Content Week 2: EDITING 🎥

Today we talked CapCut, editing, little tricks that make creating content easier, and most importantly, what to do when you hit that “oh crap, what did I just do?” moment. 😂

This is exactly why I wanted to create Cookies & Content.

Not a giant seminar. Not someone talking at you for two hours. Just real people sitting around a table, phones in hand, asking questions and actually learning something they can use when they leave.

You do not have to be a content creator. You do not need fancy equipment. You don't even have to know what half the buttons do yet.

You just have to be willing to learn. 💜

This week marked 11 years of owning a legitimate small business, and I’ve been thinking about what I wish I understood when I started.

One of the biggest things?
Being GOOD at what you do and being VISIBLE are two completely different skills.

You can make the best cake.
Be the best photographer.
Install the best roof.
Have the cutest boutique.
Provide incredible service.

But if nobody knows you exist, or they can’t understand what you do when they find you, you’ve got a completely different problem.
(I have been here, more than once!)

So here’s something I want every small business owner to ask today:

“If someone needed exactly what I offer right now, how would they find me?”

Follow that journey yourself.

Tomorrow marks 11 years since CCFY officially became a business.

And if there’s one thing 11 years has taught me, it’s this:

A good business alone isn’t enough.
People have to know you exist.
They have to understand what you do.
They have to trust you.
They have to remember you when they need you.
And you have to make it easy for them to take the next step.
THAT is visibility.

It took me years of owning businesses, changing businesses, closing businesses, rebuilding, creating content, learning algorithms, building websites, networking and figuring things out the hard way to understand how all of those pieces fit together.

And now helping other small businesses put those pieces together is becoming one of my favorite parts of CCFY.
