If you are a parent that has a concern with your child's development (ages 3-5 but not Kindergarten eligible) in one or more of the following areas: social/emotional, cognitive, adaptive, communication, or physical development call our office to set up a developmental screening. We hold screenings monthly and would be happy to get your child signed up for a screening. To get signed up for a screening you can call the SHELA office at 913-592-7222.

Our little learners had the BEST time celebrating spring last week! From riding bikes with big smiles to chasing and blowing bubbles across the playground, the day was filled with laughter, sunshine, and sweet memories. 🚲🫧💕

We love watching our Pre-K friends learn, play, and enjoy these special moments together. Spring has officially sprung! 🌷🌈

Today, we celebrate the incredible heart of our school—our teachers. 💙

This morning was a beautiful reminder of just how much they mean to our students. Students and families filled the sidewalk with colorful drawings, sweet messages, and heartfelt notes—creating a path of appreciation for our teachers to walk as they arrived.

From chalk hearts and bright flowers to words of gratitude, every message was a small piece of the big impact our teachers make each day. Their dedication, kindness, and passion inspire our students not just in the classroom, but in life.

To our teachers: thank you for showing up, for caring deeply, and for making a difference in countless ways. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are so grateful for you—today and every day. 🍎✨

Last week, our Pre-K students had a very special visitor—a local librarian who came in to share the joy of reading! 📚

The students were completely engaged as they listened to fun, interactive stories and explored new books. It was wonderful to see their excitement and curiosity come to life with each page turned.

A big thank you to our guest for inspiring a love of reading in our youngest learners. Moments like these help build strong foundations for lifelong learning! 💛

Due to the impact of this morning’’s storm and subsequent power outage, the AM Session at Spring Hill Early Learning Academy has been canceled for Monday, April 27, 2026. We anticipate the PM Session at SHELA to be held as scheduled. All other district buildings have power and will hold classes as regularly scheduled. (Please note that busses may be slightly delayed this morning).

Spring Hill Schools will provide updates as needed through email, phone, text, and social media.

Our Pre-K class had fun making tie-dye shirts today! 🌈👕

They loved picking colors and watching their designs come together. So many bright and unique creations!

While waiting their turn to do their shirts, Ms. Aly had other fun and educational activities for them to do!
