🚨 Meet Our New Coaches 🚨

💚🥎🖤 Hannah Rizzuto is our new assistant/
catching coach!

Coach Hannah graduated from Springstead HS and went on to play college softball at Daytona State College as a utility player, and then to Young Harris College as a catcher.

Once she graduated from Young Harris College, Hannah became a part of their coaching staff and was with them for 2 years. She specialized in working with the hitters, the infield and outfield, as well as the catchers.

Her favorite part of coaching is building relationships with the players and watching their confidence grow!

In her free time she likes painting, going to the beach, and hanging out with her family!

Fun fact: Coach Hannah has a playlist for every genre of music 🎶

🖤🥎💚 Niki Harvey is our new pitching coach!

Coach Niki graduated from Chamberlain HS and went on to play college softball at the University of South Florida as a pitcher! She also played softball and pitched for team USA!

Niki has 4 years of coaching experience. She specializes in pitching and hitting, but has experience coaching all positions. She also founded the Southern Aces Softball Organization!

Her favorite part of coaching is being able to pass on her knowledge of the game to the girls. Helping them unlock their potential and get to the next level.

When shes not coaching, Niki is with her beautiful daughters and her husband.

Fun fact: Coach Niki does Schutzhund/ IGP training.
She trains and competes with working line German
Shepherds!

🚨 Player Spotlight 🚨 Sadie Shaw #23 🚨

Sadie is going into her Sophomore year at Hernando High School where she has an impressive 4.0 GPA!!

She is the definition of a true multi sport athlete! Not only is she an amazing softball player, Sadie also plays Basketball. Her freshman year she was on both the JV and Varsity rosters for the Leopards. When she’s not playing softball or basketball, Sadie also plays on Hernando’s flag football team!! Literally a beast in every sport!

Sadie’s college goal is to attend school at Appalachian State University where she wants to study to become an architect!

When she’s not playing sports, Sadie likes spending time with her family, reading, working out, and riding her dirt bike!

Another tournament weekend in the books for our Guardians. Today didn’t go as planned, sadly it was a total wash out! The girls had first seed in their bracket going in to today, the only team in the division that went 3-0 during seeding.

We had a great weekend regardless of not being able to play today. We celebrated Coach Niki’s birthday, had a night of team bonding, lots of amazing food, laughs, and entertainment. Couple days off and we’re on to the World Series 🥎💚🖤

Heading into Sunday games 🥎 1st seed in our bracket. Hopefully this weather cooperates and we play some ball today 💚🖤

Kaprice is going into her Sophomore year at Nature Coast Technical High School where she takes honors classes and has an impressive 4.20 GPA! Her Freshman year, Kaprice made the Varsity softball roster and earned her spot as the starting shortstop for the Sharks! 🦈

Her College plan is to major in Psychology and would love to play softball while she’s studying for her degree. Kaprice definitely has the speed to play at the next level with a home to 1B speed of 2.9 and a catching pop up time of 2.0!!!

When Kaprice is not playing softball she enjoys going to the beach, listening to music, and all things Sylvester Stallone. She also has an amazing voice and loves to sing! 🎶
