A little gardening 101 this morning 🤓

My son, Lyric volunteered to be my model for the dry shampoo. I added some hair oil to a section of his hair (to make it oily) and then applied my dry shampoo. (It applies better with a little makeup brush but I prefer my hands😬)

I’ll be dropping off the dry shampoo to the farm stand today by noon! If you’d like one but can’t make it to the farm stand let me know we can arrange pickup. ☺️

Even though I’ve been silent, I’ve been working on things. Dried elderflowers that will be infused in oils, and I made a non toxic dry shampoo (that won’t disrupt your hormones 😉) I’m in love with! It’ll be at the farm stand in the next coming days! Stay tuned! 😬

Be honest—did you even have a childhood if you didn’t spend your summers pulling the ends off honeysuckle flowers to get that one tiny drop of nectar? 🌸✨
Most of us know honeysuckle as the unofficial scent of summer (and a free snack for kids), but this plant is actually a heavy hitter in the world of natural wellness.
While we were just after the sugar rush, traditional herbalists have been using those same flowers (and leaves) for centuries:
• Immune Powerhouse: It’s often called "natural penicillin" because of its ability to help the body fight off respiratory bugs.
• Soothing Heat: In traditional medicine, it’s a go-to for "clearing heat"—which is a fancy way of saying it’s great for soothing sore throats, fevers, and even skin inflammation.
• Antioxidant Rich: Those little flowers are packed with flavonoids that help your body manage stress and inflammation.

I will be putting some in the drying rack today for oil infusion and for teas! Stay turned!

Tell me I’m not the only one who did this! Do you still show your kids (or grandkids) how to find the "honey" in the honeysuckle? 👇

They say plants are the new kids, but honestly? Plants are better. They don't talk back, and they actually appreciate a good root check. ✅
The Real Talk: See those white, fuzzy roots? That’s what we call ‘well-established.’ If the roots were circling the bottom like a toddler throwing a tantrum in Target, they’d be root-bound. These guys are just right and ready for their bigger pot.
Remember: After your seedlings emerge in the cell, adding water in the tray underneath helps establish a good root system.
Organic cabbage- Pak Choy be available at the farm stand soooon!🪴✨
