Flavor Friday!!! I am so excited to be offering so much tomorrow. It will be my biggest day at the stand YET as far as what I’m making available. Everyone here has been so welcoming and supportive. You are like jet fuel to my ambitions. So full of gratitude. Thank you. Can’t wait to see you tomorrow and bring a friend!!!

Today felt a little bit like graduation day.
Not the cap-and-gown kind.
The quiet kind.
The kind where you look around and realize the thing you started “just for fun” has slowly become part of your life’s work.
A hobby turned into late nights.
Then early mornings.
Then sold-out bread days.
Then classes.
Then people showing up again and again.
Then dreams that suddenly needed bigger tools.
This old Hobart feels like more than a mixer.
It feels like proof.
Proof that tiny beginnings count.
Proof that creativity can feed people — literally and figuratively.
Proof that small things grow when you keep showing up for them.
The Little Making Place is becoming something much bigger than I imagined…
and somehow also more me than ever.
Giving this old a new life too.

Flavor Friday is in full swing regardless of rain! I have Pepperoni Mozzarella bread, cheddar jalapeno, everything bagel, and classic loaves. Cookie today is cookies and cream and they are so big they barely fit in the bag! Chase the blah gray day away with some very yummy bread and cookies baked fresh today!!!

Snickerdoodle is the flavor of the day!!! I made 4 times the batch because I know you all love them! So if you think I must be sold out - I bet not! 😆🤣 I also have mini loaves & full size loaves. Monday is normally my busiest day. Don’t prove wrong - come and see me! Also I am out here making improvements to the bread shed so come and say hi!

Flavor Friday is at the stand!!! Perfect Little Flavored Sourdough Loaves. Jalapeno Cheddar, Pepperoni Mozzarella, Cheddar Garlic, Everything Bagel, and Classic. Today’s cookie flavor is Raspberry Cream Cheese Cake Cookie. Seasonings, eggs, soaps and dryer balls are all here too. Can’t wait to see you all at the new improved stand!!!

I’m translating all of them.
Tree one of four! I thought covering a few basics could be helpful this Christmas season. In four days you will have four different style Christmas trees that you could use for cards, gift tags, ornaments, or a painting to give as a gift. Whatever you would like as long as you are having fun.
Sometimes the most soothing thing you can do is sit down with a brush and let the paint wander.
This little woodland deer started as a simple sketch… and somewhere between the soft browns and the tiny leaves and antlers, the world got a little quieter.
You don’t have to “be an artist” to enjoy painting. You just have to show up, breathe, and let the colors do what they do.
You’ve got this — one peaceful brushstroke at a time. ✨
You can purchase the 4 pack of the sketched woodland friends bundle online in my mercantile, all you have to do is add the color.
Want me to keep going with two parts??? I think I should draw them out first darker just so it’s easier to see on a video. I also need to post the follow up painting video faster. 😬 busy weekend. I will do better next time!
So, what fall critter or thing should I do next?
Breaking the drawing down into simple shapes and then reassembling is a much easier way to look at something rather than trying to create this sketch from top to bottom. I will be continuing with creating simple fall critters and symbols in the next few weeks. They could just be for fun or they could make great cards or gifts.
In a few hours I will release part 2 - the watercolor portion.
