📍REMINDER: PTA Meeting this morning at 9:30am! Hope to see y’all there!

As shared in the Trailblazer Times over the past two weeks, our General Membership Meeting will be held next Tuesday, April 7th at 9:30 AM in the cafeteria.

The Nominating Committee has finalized its slate of officer candidates, which will be presented for election at this meeting. We will also review the proposed budget for the 2026–2027 school year and appoint a Financial Reconciliation Committee.

What’s happening at BBES in April! 🐰

Our 1st graders had the most magical time in the garden lab last week 🌱✨ led by our amazing “Garden Fairy” (Coordinator), Desiree Nelson!

Students explored the lifecycle of a plant by creating their very own terrariums using recycled bottles—adding rocks, soil, seeds, water, and sunshine to build tiny greenhouses and watch their plants grow. How fun is that?! 🌿

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers who joined us, got a little dirty, and helped bring this hands-on learning experience to life. We are so grateful for your support! 💚

Our 4th graders wrapped up an exciting (and a little “yucky” 😄) Spring Garden Lab all about composting! 🌱

Students explored the food chain—from producers to consumers to decomposers—through hands-on experiments, even creating their own compost jars to observe at school and at home. The learning is just beginning as they watch these changes over time!

Our 5th graders had an AMAZING time in Garden Lab 🌱✨ exploring plant & animal adaptations through hands-on learning!

From a garden scavenger hunt discovering thorns, vines, and seed strategies… to their very first flower dissection 🌸… to acting as “bird beaks” picking up seeds 🐦… and even exploring real animal artifacts from the San Antonio Zoo 🐍🦴—every station was full of curiosity, discovery, and fun!
