The memories, the gratitude, and the meaning of 9/11 remain with us long after the day itself has passed.

We’re especially grateful to H-E-B and our neighbors in River Crossing for remembering Bulverde Spring Branch Fire & EMS and our crews. Also, thank you to everyone who took a moment to keep us, and first responders everywhere, in your thoughts.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families whose lives were changed forever.

Fire Extinguisher Training Opportunity! Saturday, October 10th. Two sessions; one at 10:00 a.m. and the second at 1:00 p.m.

Brief instructional session, followed by hands-on training. Participants will utilize an advanced fire simulator tool to practice how to handle a fire extinguisher in a safe and realistic setting.

The progress continues at Station 75!

What was once an empty site is steadily becoming a new home for Fire & EMS services. Each stage of construction brings us closer to a station designed to serve our community today and into the future.

The Texas Hill Country is known for its beautiful grasses, brush and trees, but during dry conditions, that same vegetation can provide fuel for a fast-moving wildfire.

As our community continues to grow, more homes are being built where neighborhoods and natural vegetation meet. That makes wildfire preparedness increasingly important for all of us.

A few simple steps around your home can make a meaningful difference:
✅ Create defensible space around your home
✅ Trim and manage vegetation
✅ Keep roofs and gutters clear of leaves and debris
✅ Reduce combustible materials near structures
✅ Fortify your home against wind-blown embers

These are the kinds of actions promoted through Firewise USA® and Texas A&M Forest Service wildfire preparedness programs.

Wildfire preparedness isn't only something firefighters do; it is something we can do together as a community.

A better-prepared home gives firefighters more options when wildfire threatens, and a better-prepared neighborhood helps protect everyone.

Texas heat + marching band practice = one very good reason to call in the fire engine! 🚒💦

After a scorching day of marching practice, the Smithson Valley Ranger Marching Band earned a much-needed break from the heat with a good old-fashioned fire-engine spray down.

We think those smiles say it all! 😎🎶 Stay cool, Rangers, and keep marching!
