Thank you to all our customers who have been so gracious and patient with our broken down credit card system. The technician came Monday and is coming again tomorrow—Thursday. We hope to be up and running in the afternoon. Till then, cash is the alternative!

It’s never been easier to shop for a specific piece of clothing, seasonal style trend or buzzy new fashion accessory. Thanks to reverse image search, countless online retailers and seamless shopping integration on social media platforms, trendsetters are living their best life. But at what cost to the planet?

Habits of convenience are hard to change, and the thrill of wearing a cute new ’fit can be a major source of joy in our chaotic, stressful lives. But taking small steps to lessen our fashion footprint does add up, as we explore in this week’s SUSTAINABLE FASHION issue.

Local organizations offer plenty of resources to help, like upcycling and mending workshops, and the Spokane area offers unparalleled opportunities for secondhand shopping, both at traditional thrift stores and curated boutiques. So trade your next Amazon or Shein haul for a trip to the thrift store — it’s a win for your closet, your wallet and the planet.
