What a terrific way to celebrate the end of the school year!

On Monday, our Mustangs enjoyed four fun-filled rotations that kept the excitement going all day long. Students took part in Capture the Ball, Indiana Jones, Sprout Ball, and a special library rotation with Miss Hood, where they explored coding, robots, and technology.

A huge thank you to Mr. Lungo for all of the planning, organizing, and equipment shuffling that made the day possible. Thanks as well to Ms. Boldrick for coordinating paraeducator support throughout the day. It truly took a team effort.

There was something pretty special about seeing our entire school community together on one day at the end of the year. Laughter, teamwork, movement, and plenty of smiles made for a memorable celebration.

What a blast—and what a wonderful way to wrap up another great year at Evergreen!

From 10:45 to 11:30 this morning, we enjoyed our annual all-school recess.

Students played in the field, climbed on the playground structure, created colorful masterpieces with sidewalk chalk, and danced along to the music provided by Mrs. Llyr.

To top it all off, everyone cooled off with gigantic freezer pops. With perfect weather and plenty of smiles, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of another great school year.

The energy of a bus parade!

With Captain Evergreen making a surprise appearance and many parents and family members joining in the excitement, we wrapped up another wonderful school year and said goodbye for a couple of months—until next fall. Under the direction of our music teachers, students and teachers donned crazy hats, danced, sang along to lively music, and celebrated with one of our favorite traditions: the annual bus parade. The enthusiasm and joy of the last day of school made for a memorable sendoff to a terrific year.

Here’s our new DLC team. Ms. Nikki will be joining us next year—to form three sections.

Ms. Amber and Mrs. Smith are amazing, and adding Ms. Nikki will only open up our programming that much further.

What a great opportunity for our school.

As a culminating project, all of our 4th graders participated in a world studies activity.

For various reasons, kids picked a country to study. Then they wrote a report, created some sort of presentation, and then shared before parents, peers, and Evergreen administrators.

What fun!

One student named Vincent studied St. Vincent. Another had traveled to Japan, so he reported on his family’s travels. Another has relatives in Norway, so she created a presentation about Norway. Another’s dad had family in Mexico, so he studied Mexico.

How cool is all of this?!

Friday was Beach Day!

Swimsuits, beach attire, lawn chairs, shorts, flip flops, and anything else for outdoor fun. That’s what we saw Friday.

Then, the kids had the opportunity to eat lunch with their classmates outside their classrooms in the nice warm spring air.

A fun day for sure!

Take a peek at what we got after our Saturday garden cleanup. With several families showing up, Mrs. Phillips leading the way, and Mr. Danford weeding alongside everybody else, we left the garden looking so pretty.
