A recent study published in found that the launch of the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline was associated with nearly 4,400 fewer su***de deaths among teens and young adults nationwide- an 11% reduction compared to what researchers expected to see. Research also found the greatest declines occurred in areas with higher 988 usage.
Here in Eastern Washington, those calls, texts, and chats are answered by compassionate crisis counselors right here at Frontier Behavioral Health. Every day, our 988 team provides support, connection, hope, and resources to individuals experiencing emotional distress, mental health challenges, or thoughts of su***de. This research is a powerful reminder that reaching out works and that every conversation matters. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 anytime, 24/7.

💚 Today is Jaunt in June! 💚
We’re gathered at Frontier Behavioral Health’s main campus parking lot in downtown Spokane for the annual Jaunt in June walk, hosted by the Spokane County Consumer Consultation Panel.
The event runs until 1:30 PM, so stop by, say hello, and join us in raising awareness for mental health. Together, we can help reduce stigma, foster connection, and remind one another that no one has to walk their journey alone.
