Street Music Week

Street Music Week

Street Music Week was started in 2002 in Spokane, Washington by columnist Doug Clark of The Spokesman Review.

The idea was simple; play music during the noon hour in the second full week of June and give the money to the foodbank.

Here’s a shot of Street Music Week luminaries Doug Clark and Joe Brasch busking in the South Perry neighborhood on Monday. Come hear some music today noon-1pm at any of the four locations and drop a few dollars in the bucket for Second Harvest Inland Northwest.

If you can’t make it at lunchtime, it’s always available to donate online at 2-harvest.org/streetmusicweek

Musician Matt Mitchell is touring far away from the inland northwest, but still took some time to play a tune for Second Harvest during Street Music Week. Take a listen and drop a few dollars in the bucket for hungry neighbors at 2-harvest.org/streetmusicweek

Thanks Matt!

Our musicians aren't going to let a little rain stop them! Come show them some love and drop some $$ in their buckets.

Mandolins, accordions and guitars line Spokane city streets for Street Music Week 06/09/2026

We’re doing it! Raising money for Second Harvest with our songs all week!

Mandolins, accordions and guitars line Spokane city streets for Street Music Week Sisters Neilia and Ivy Eyer have been making music since they were old enough to stand. With a mandolin and an accordion in hand, the two teenagers performed folk songs Monday on Main Street to kick off Second Harvest’s 24th annual Street Music Week.

THANK YOU to all the musicians and bucket fillers for making 2025 Street Music Week a success. We appreciate each and every one of you!

A grand total of $21,332.11 raised, including all locations, online gifts and Street Music Week’s very generous friend, John Huckabay. That brings the grand total for 23 years at just over $396,000.

Every $1 provides food for 3 meals. That means this year’s Street Music Week proceeds will provide close to 64,000 for our neighbors in need. You did it!
