500 years later and the same expression shows up in a night market crowd.

Da Vinci called it “sfumato” …the blur between emotions. We call it resting market face.
I keep coming back to this frame because everyone else is turned away, talking, ordering. She alone is looking at the camera, at me, at us. It feels like a message across time: pay attention.

What would you ask her if you had 10 seconds?

Rebecca and her Bernese braved the rain at Riverfront Park and we made this set on the blue bridge and by the Pavilion.

This was my spring giveaway session, shot on the 102 mp camera in natural light. No studio, just Spokane.
