Memories from home. Crazy how in the dead of winter, images of harvest appear.

This is a painting I just finished. "Changing Seasons". I am so aware of seasons of growth and creative movement forward but, the seasons of dormancy and rest. I am trying to embrace each season as good and right. I tried to capture that here.36"x60", acrylic paint.

Sometimes it is how you hang a painting. I decided to hang these little abstracts in a vertical and it makes them so much more dynamic.
Acrylic paint, 12"x24"

Emma has been making these awesome gingham books. Perfect for stocking stuffers! She is part of 33 Artists Market today at the Women's Club on 8th avenue. 11-5 today. So many great gift items . Check out her Insta post on cecil studios.

I saw a piece of the printed gingham in the garbage and decided to make a collage to make her laugh. Crazy artist family. So proud of this girl.

Every now and again, I have to do a painting just for myself. It is full of reminders of fun days and words to move me forward. Hope you enjoy it too.

I just finished this next reflection painting from Manito Park. It took me a couple of days to recognize that the colors reflected in the water from October are so different from August. I love that! I hope you enjoy these.

They say that the horizontal lines of the ocean allow our brains to settle the best. After three days, I am still trying to settle the crazy racket. Need more time on the beach I guess.
