What an honor yesterday to attend and speak at the groundbreaking for the new Carla Peperzak Middle School. Carla, a Holocaust survivor and member of the Dutch resistance as a teenager, is still going strong at 98 years of age. She's a hero of mine and I know her story will inspire generations students in the future as the school's namesake.
