Due to what I have dubbed COVID-19 Absolute Insanity, I thought I would offer my expert advice on working from home to those who may be new to the experience. Hope everyone is not hugging each other in this time of crisis! 🌈✨💖🍒🦄⚡ @ Spokane, Washington

I want to take a hot sec and acknowledge something I have seen happening here in Spokane.
Spokane is a little city that people who don’t live here (and I suppose some who do) tend to not think very much of. We are not bursting with museums or music festivals, endless access to the arts or huge networks of “people to know.”
And yet, I see people here not letting our little status stop them. Recently, I feel so mightily blessed to continually be meeting people who are pursuing entrepreneurship or creativity in ways that push past any “barrier” this place - without access to typical creative, artistic, or entrepreneurial scenes - may put upon them. In fact, a lot of these people have it way more together than their big city counterparts.
Those who think that we play small because we’re a small city have no idea or value for what’s really going on here amongst the creative and motivated people I get to encounter on a weekly basis - and I haven’t even scratched the surface of the enormity and passion of this creative community.
As someone who has lived a love/not-hate-but-turmoil-filled relationship with Spokane, you have made all the difference in my life and the work I’m pursuing. You have inspired me and motivated me to not play small, and reminded me that big cities don’t determine big lives.
Thank you. Let’s keep living large together.
