Lovely day to do the rooftop reading at the GetLit festival and Bookfair. There were so many wonderful talented writers and I’m so thankful that I got to be among them. ☺️

FOUND DOG!!! — Looking for a loving home 🐾
My friend Lacey found this sweet little Pomchi wandering near Cincinnati & Rowan and has been keeping her safe while we try to find her family or a good home.
Unfortunately, we can’t keep her ourselves, but she’s an absolute sweetheart. She just had a bath today and is fresh, clean, and looking adorable. She’s been very gentle with kids, gets along well with other dogs and cats, and enjoys calm, friendly company.
She clearly belongs with a family who will love her.
If this might be your dog, or if you or someone you know could give her a safe home, please message me. Even sharing this post helps us get her seen by the right person.
Let’s help this little girl find her people ❤️🐶
Had a lovely time at for the performances. Anne was amazing! I loved all the poetry and music, but I was only able to catch performance because my phone was low on battery, but definitely go check out Foray 4 The Arts to keep updated on where the next one is going to be. You can also sign up to perform!
Sometimes I need a little and to be called a good girl.

I wrote this and read this out loud for memorial for Renee Nicole Good tonight. We came together in honor of a fellow poet and a fellow human that was taken from this world because of hatred. One of the hosts read out the 32 other people who have died at the hands of ICE in 2025 and even though I have read the list myself, the gravity of hearing the list out loud as we stood on the Post st bridge surrounded by the beautiful Spokane River hit me hard. To be there in the presence of so many Poets with so much love and rage was powerful. It was an honor to be able to stand with my community and be able to be so vulnerable and be met with love and support. Grief does not lessen because it is smaller,
but because it is no longer carried alone.

As a teen I spent so many hours talking on the phone with friends and there are some conversations I remember so clearly. To this day when I realize that I have grabbed something I have mistaken for something else, I say “Tapioca?” To myself. I haven’t even spoken to that person in over a decade.

Time and how it affects memories have been on my mind a lot lately. Dealing with C-PTSD and Epilepsy has greatly affected my ability to recall things in the correct order, there are times when I can’t forget certain things and other times things feel just out of reach.

A poem I wrote after I got denied coverage for a medication that could help improve my quality of life. I’ve had for over a decade. It developed because of my untreated severe psoriasis that I’ve had since I was 9 years old. I’ve waited over 2 years just to see a specialist. She worked so hard to try and get the medication covered. My body feels beaten and broken and I’m in constant pain. I’m doing everything I can to figure this out and I’ve had some people give me some really good advice. I’m trying to let myself grieve so I can pick myself up and keep going.

I’m tired, but so happy. I haven’t taken a mirror selfie in years but I needed to capture myself today because today marks a year since me Jessie, and Gabi purchased our articles of incorporation for Penny’s Paw Spa. This is in our bathroom in our salon. Me, Jessie and Gabi built this business together and I’m really proud of what we have all accomplished. I just needed to take a moment to look at myself in the mirror and thank my body for chugging along. I’ve put my literal blood, sweat, and tears into this business and I’m so grateful for everyone who believes in us and who has supported us along the way. I can’t believe that we got things up and running so quickly and are on the pathway to continuing success. It all seems like a blur.
