Just a heads up regarding next level internet scammers. My son-in-law Lane had his Facebook hacked yesterday. The hacker then proceeded to post that he was rehoming several puppies (with adorable pictures attached) and that they would take a rehoming fee through cash app. They then proceeded to give out my son-in-law's (and daughter's) actual home address. On top of that they encouraged people to share the post. THERE ARE NO PUPPIES. My kiddos now have people showing up to see the non-existent puppies at their home. To the hacker: it's not funny and you are committing several crimes. To Facebook support: Do better.

Much of the time I've seen children approach art making with a playful, curious, and interested excitement; emphasis on playful. Yet so often adult individuals approach art making with the disclaimer, "I can't even draw a stick figure" or "I'm no artist". Somehow they may have lost the joy of the process; the "making" part of creating art. Their emphasis seems to have switched to valuing the product...or devaluing it as they compare their work with what they may feel is a rigid concept of beauty or worth. Let's go back to enjoying the present process! Taking an adult art class or joining in on an art activity with others may be a good start. The benefits to one's mental health of just playing,creating and doing are numerous, and can be as life changing as alterations in diet, sleep and exercise.
