What a beautiful start to our day 🤩

Today, .ndn & .dance.arts got nominated for a Award for Imagination from our shared work in The - A new performing arts group that reimagines Indigenous storytelling in Western presenting spaces.

Art the root of it all, we're trying to break down walls between institution and environment, screen and stage, and from stage to audience. We create messages that audiences embody and take home to their community...messages of truth, history, empowerment, and healing.

This is the power of storytelling.

Huge ShoutOut to 💓 Thank you for the thoughtful questions and all the passion you put into your work. Lol, we asked to take some BTS shots for us and she said "Oh it's on selfie-mode, do Y'all want me to take one?" We Ask laughed and said "Vogue!"

Wham. Magic! *que the confetti*

Thank you Spokane ✨️ Be sure to goto and swoop your tickets before the awards gala sells out! 🤩

Day 1 morning breakfast with our Native brother, Paul, from the Kumayaay People of what is now known as San Diego.

It's nice to continue the work of honoring each other, the lands we come from, and the deep histories our people continue to face. For us, it's about building intentional relationships with each other.

This morning, we prayed, sang songs, shared stories, and food. A perfect start to a beautiful conference 💓

We are excited to announce that have been nominated for the Award for Imagination ✨️
dance.arts & .ndn created The Scattered Roots Collective as a way to begin sharing Native stories in Western theater spaces. Their groundbreaking stage production, "Coming Home," utilizes a variety of artistic disciplines to investigate the multifaceted concept of Indigenous identity.

Through laughter, movement, and tears, they rediscover the land that sings their stories and calls their spirit home.

By interweaving personal stories, historical accounts, and vibrant cultural expressions, we embark on a journey through time, community, and place; a whispered conversation between the ancient ones and future generations.

"Coming Home" is their epic, a voyage inward and outward. It's the shared laughter around a crackling fire and the silent tears for forgotten traditions.

This isn't just their story, but reflections for countless others; a constellation of shared experiences. It's a performance that transcends cultures. A tapestry woven with film, dance, music, and poetry that moves to the rhythms of a living earth.

This is the story the land remembers.
