Trust us with your fine rugs. Your rug(s) will be returned to you thoroughly cleaned and beautifully restored. Your rugs' patterns and colors will be just as vivid as when you unrolled your rug for the first time. You have my word on it.
Most people think rug cleaning starts with water. It doesn’t.
Before a rug is washed, we remove years of dry soil, dust, sand, and grit. If that material stays in the rug, water can turn it into mud and make cleaning less effective. That’s why every rug goes through the dusting process first.
Have you ever wondered how much dirt is hiding in a rug? 👇
A rug can come out of the wash looking clean, but that doesn’t always mean it’s ready to go home.
Blocking helps straighten the edges, remove ripples, and restore the rug’s shape so it lays flat again.
It’s one of those behind-the-scenes steps most people never see, but it makes a big difference.
We recently had the opportunity to tour the Blake House in Spokane and spend some time admiring the owner’s incredible rug collection.
From room to room, each rug adds its own character, history, and craftsmanship to the home. It’s always a pleasure to see hand-knotted rugs being lived with and enjoyed as part of a family’s story.
Some rugs need more than a standard wash. This one spent extra time in our pre-soak to help loosen years of embedded dirt before cleaning. It’s amazing how much can come out before the wash process even begins.
It’s amazing how much personality a small rug can add to a space.
These hand-knotted scatter rugs are just a few of the pieces currently available in our Spokane showroom. Perfect for entryways, kitchens, hallways, and beside the bed.

Not every rug needs blocking, but for the ones that do, it’s an important final step. Blocking helps restore the rug’s shape, straighten the edges, and ensure it lays flat once it’s back in your home.
Before a rug ever touches water, it gets dusted.
Years of trapped dust, skin cells, hair, and debris can settle deep into the foundation of a rug—even when it looks clean on the surface. This step removes what regular vacuuming leaves behind and helps ensure a more thorough wash.
Blocking is what helps a freshly washed rug dry flat, straight, and back into shape. It’s not the flashiest part of the process, but it’s one of the most important.
Every staple has a purpose. 🔨✨
At first glance, you might think this rug was supposed to be brown.
It wasn’t.
Years of dirt, dust, and everyday life had completely hidden its true colors. After a thorough wash, the difference was impossible to miss.
Every rug tells a story—and sometimes that story is buried under layers of dirt.
Would you have guessed what color it really was?
