This photo has always meant a lot to our family. ❤️

Taken at a farmers market in 2015, it captures Desiree working the booth while Mauro and Gina Seghetti, her grandparents, along with her brother Damiano, stopped by to visit and support her. At the time, we were sharing our sauces with the community, including Gina’s Marinara, named after the woman whose love, sacrifice, and hard work helped shape what Commellini Estate is today.

When Gina came to Spokane from Italy in 1950, she started in the restaurant washing dishes alongside Albert and Leda Commellini. What was supposed to be a temporary visit turned into a lifetime devoted to family, food, hospitality, and preserving the traditions that built this place.

So much of Commellini Estate exists today because of generations before us who poured themselves into it quietly, consistently, and wholeheartedly. The recipes, the gatherings, the work ethic, the hospitality… those things were not created overnight. They were passed down around dinner tables, in kitchens, and through years of showing up for family and community.

Sometimes our retail line may look like frozen lasagnas and jars of sauce, but to us, it represents something much deeper. It is a continuation of the legacy that Mauro, Gina, Albert, and Leda helped create, and an opportunity to share a small piece of that story with others.

We are incredibly grateful to carry it forward.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about what exactly “Premier Seating” at Moonshine includes… so here’s the breakdown. ✨🎬

Our Premier Tables are reserved seating experiences designed for groups who want a little extra comfort and a guaranteed spot for the movie under the stars. Each package includes:
• Reserved table seating for up to 10 guests
• A bottle of house wine
• A gourmet popcorn trio
• One of the best views of the movie screen

They’ve become such a fun option for birthday celebrations, family nights, double dates, team outings, and casual corporate gatherings during the summer.

Looking for something even more private? Our La Capanna rental offers an indoor shaded gathering space for up to 24 guests and includes dinner, snacks, and a dedicated space to relax throughout the evening.

And of course, Moonshine’s general admission is always completely free. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, friends, and family and enjoy the market, live music, food, drinks, and movie with us all summer long. 🤍
