On May 1, 2017, Jesseka Frazer-Musson was murdered by her fiancé in Bonners Ferry Idaho. Our family and our community lost a vibrant young woman, mother, daughter and so much to so many people, to a senseless act of brutality. Had we all been better educated, there is the possibility it could have been prevented. We have been working through this
unimaginable traumatic grieving process and have decided we need to jump into action to help others by raising funds for local non-profit organizations who provide support & work directly with people affected by domestic violence. We are a musical family & have found healing in music, so it is natural for us to want to share this love through a music filled event. We have partnered up with the YWCA of Spokane, NAOMI, The Spokane Reginal Domestic Violence Coalition and Safe Passages of Coeur d’ Alene because of the amazing work they are doing in our communities and their need for funding in these areas. This includes providing public education & awareness, emergency & support as well as many other services needed to heal and empower families. Our First fundraising event in Jesseka’s honor, “Stop the Silence”, was on Friday, October 13, 2017at the McGinnity Room in Spokane. 100% of the proceeds were donated. Since then we have done several fundraisers to support these organizations and what they do in the community. Since 2020 we have become our own nonprofit still supporting the mentioned organizations in the community. Each year we are able to touch the lives of so many in different ways. During the pandemic we were able to provide activity books, reading material and essentials like shampoo deodorant and soap to shelters in need. We also provided meals to support these safe houses and local restaurants in our efforts. We have started a tradition of doing Bunny Grams delivering baskets and hiding eggs to numerus safe houses and shelters giving children the sense of joy and normalcy while they are transitioning in their new life. On Mothers Day we have partnered with local photographers and hair and makeup artist to provide family photo shoots. In 2019 we were able to buy a car with the help of one of our founding partners Valley Auto Liquidators to provide to a woman who had left a seven year abusive relationship with transportation to get to and from work. Her abuser had sabotaged her car and it was not repairable. We have started a “Go Bag” Program in 2020 and are hoping to grow that program more and get the essentials in the hands of those who need it. In 2022 our team is also looking at how we can serve the need of fostering animals until their owners can get into housing of their own.
