Why I started Find the Fire

I’ve been through addiction.
I’ve been through trauma.
I’ve been through nights where I didn’t know if I’d make it to morning.

But more than anything, I’ve been through the journey of finding myself again.

This page isn’t just about recovery.
It’s about reclaiming joy. About believing you’re still meant for something more.

If that resonates — I’m glad you’re here.

You’re not alone.

Check in time.

What’s been keeping you going lately?

It doesn’t have to be big.

It might be your dog. A video game. A morning playlist. The promise of something better.

Drop one thing that’s helping you hold on below 👇

(And if you don’t know right now, that’s okay. Maybe write down one reason you want to keep going.)

4 years sober — and sometimes it still blows my mind.

Not because I made it this far (though I’m proud). But because I remember what it felt like to believe I never would.

Recovery doesn’t always feel like victory. Sometimes progress feels so slow that it makes you feel like you are going nowhere, or even backsliding.

Sometimes healing is quiet. Slow. Uneven. But still, it happens.

If you’re in that space — somewhere between the pain and the peace — you’re not alone. And you’re not broken.

You’re becoming who you are meant to be.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here — but Find the Fire has never stopped burning in me.

Life got busy, and I stepped back to focus on my own healing, growth, and purpose. But lately, I’ve felt that same fire rising again — the one that wants to help others break free, find joy, and truly live.

If you’ve followed this page before, thank you for being here. And if you’re new, welcome — this space is for anyone who’s ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like they’ve lost themselves in the struggle.

I’ll be posting more again: reflections on recovery, tools for healing, and reminders that you’re not broken.

So let’s start here:
What’s something that’s been helping you keep your fire alive lately? 🔥👇

About a year ago, I started a one skill a week challenge that I had heard about from a teacher on skill share. Every week I dedicated 10-20 hours learning something brand new. It was truly transformative in finding myself and my passions.

It is directly responsible for the creation of Find the Fire as it is how I found mine!

If you're feeling stuck right now, ABSOLUTELY give this a try.

You just might find your fire in the process.

If we spend too much time focusing on the negative, that is eventually what we start to see in everything.

Practice gratitude, talk to friends, do things that make you happy to shift your perspective.
