This one might gross you out a bit. lol
This, my friends, is The Gum Wall of Seattle.
Hidden below Pikes Place Market, is an alley way that is COVERED in chewing gum. According to my research, the gum wall began when local actors and theater enthusiasts would hangout in the alley after shows and began placing chewed gum on the walls, ledges, poles and really any surface they could reach. Soon the trend began and more and more visitors flock here to place their piece of nastiness on the wall.
Take a peak at the second image. Someone expertly placed a cigarette amongst the sea of chewy memorabilia, then hung another piece from said ciggy lol
This was one of those things that I didn't know I needed on my bucket list hahaha

A crowd gathers around the fish filled ice chests to watch in awe as the guys at Pike Place Fish Market do what they are best known for .....THROWING FISH
We stood watching as the young fish mongers shouted and tossed a giant fish from behind the counter and back again, calling out to one another in their fishy lingo.
As you can tell by the faces of all the people, they were quite entertaining.

Finally made it to PIKES PLACE!
It only took nearly 3 years of living in the state lmao. But when you have the opportunity to meet up with long lost family members flying in from across the country, you make that s**t happen!
If you have yet to visit yourself, Pikes Place Market is a lively, bustling market located at the bottom of a steep hill, surrounded by tons of local shops and restaurants and flooded with shoppers, travelers and locals. Inside, the sounds of chatter, footsteps and fish mongers yelling out orders in real time fill the air. Throughout the market, here are all kinds of vendors selling just about everything and anything hahaha. From world class fresh seafood to local florists and artisans, you are unlikely to return home empty handed.

The old salmon cannery at Icy Straight Point was fascinating for sure. They had the old assembly line recreated and on display along with other mockups to keep the place looking and feeling how it did in its days of operation. They even had plaques with text explaining each step and what the machinery was for. Definitely worth the visit π

Docked in Icy Straight Point
Standing in between these two ships was kinda of a trip π³ these ships are MASSIVE . The thought of thousands and thousands of people flooding off into the port towns every single day is still pretty mind blowing to me.

Food on the cruise had its pros and cons. We did enjoy breakfast room service with bloody marys though π₯
Have you taken a cruise? How was the food?

A few yummy things to try:
π₯Their Trapline Whiskey -it's slightly sweet and incredibly smooth. Perfect served on the rocks
βοΈTheir Coffee Liqueur is out of this world π
π« Their Bearproof Huckleberry Whiskey.....I think it speaks for itself
