Are you caring for a relative or friend — your grandma, a cousin, or somebody else who needs your help with care? Perhaps your part started out small, but now you’re helping your loved one with everything from managing doctor visits to bathing. Join us on Friday, May 15th, for the Spokane Valley Connect!

This is a free community services event designed to offer practical help to Spokane Valley families. A variety of services will be available including medical services, DSHS, a clothing bank, food bank, haircuts, a free meal, and more.

Though called the "Spokane Valley" Connect, this event is open to everyone, regardless of where you live.

Caring for a loved one can feel exhausting, isolating, and overwhelming — but you do not have to navigate it alone.

The Caregiver Stress-Busting Program (SBP) is a free evidence-based 9-week virtual program designed to help caregivers:

• Manage stress and anxiety
• Improve quality of life
• Build problem-solving skills
• Connect with other caregivers
• Discover local resources and support

Upcoming sessions:

📅 August 17 – October 12
📅 September 24 – November 19

Space is limited and registration is required.

Raising a Relative’s Child? You’re a Kinship Caregiver—And You’re Not Alone. 💗

🏠 Kinship caregiving provides children with a safe, stable, and loving home while keeping them connected to family, culture, and identity.

If you’re a grandparent, aunt, uncle, sibling, or other relative caring for a child under 18, support is available.

Frontier Behavioral Health’s Kinship Caregiver Support Program offers:
• One-on-one guidance from a Kinship Navigator
• Help navigating systems like school, healthcare, and legal services
• Connections to local resources and peer support
• In some cases, financial assistance for short-term needs such as food, clothing, school supplies, activity fees, gas vouchers, and more
