The Spokane Valley Farmers Market is a community asset and is now at The Scale House Market! This staple event for Spokane Valley will be hanging out at the Quarry this season June 5th-August 28th 4pm-7pm!

What a wonderful thing organizations in this community are doing to serve its people!

🥕 In 2025 we distributed 13,660 pounds of food to 11,383 individuals. Partnering with Second Harvest Inland Northwest , Four Roots, and the International Rescue Committee in Spokane, we offered free bi-weekly food distributions to the community.

In addition to all of the stats we've shared this week, last year we also saw:

🔸Children learning their heritage languages and feeling proud of who they are.
🔸Families learning how to navigate systems that once felt impossible.
🔸Individuals finding jobs that could support their families.
🔸Women gathering at teatimes, building friendships across cultures.
🔸Youth stepping into leadership and participating in new after school activities.
🔸Communities coming together to learn a new language in order to better know and support their immigrant neighbors.

And all of this is because of you. We are here because of you. And we will keep going, uplifting and welcoming immigrants, together. 🫶

The Outdoor Markets are in full swing and vendor applications are accepted on a rolling basis!

If you’d like to donate to make sure food boxes can still be made for neighbors in need, come in to The Scale House Market Wednesdays-Sundays and donate!

We are so encouraged and grateful that our community stepped up, donated, and purchased a food box for a neighbor in need! All boxes are distributed for today, but please stay tuned as there will be more.

If you’ve been affected by the SNAP/EBT pause, our November is for Neighbors Campaign as been able to help us build a limited amount of Thanksgiving staple food boxes.

Each box includes: Chicken breast, eggs, milk, butter, celery, green beans, potatoes, onions, cranberries, and apples.

⚠️ 📦 How to get yours:
1. Reach out to us on our messenger to ensure a box is available.

2. Pick up by Saturday Evening at 4 PM. Limit one box per family.

November Is for Neighbors ❤️

Right now, 1 in 8 Americans rely on SNAP benefits, and millions more are missing wages from the government shutdown. At Scale House Market, we believe no one in our community should go without access to fresh, local food.

That’s why we’ve launched November Is for Neighbors, a simple way to give back and help families right here in Spokane Valley.

You can help by:
• Purchasing a grocery gift card for someone in need
• Sponsoring a $35 local food box filled with farm-fresh produce, proteins, and dairy
• Spreading the word to build our network of helpers

If you’ve lost access to SNAP/EBT benefits or are missing pay, just come by and ask to put it “on your neighbor’s tab.” We’ll make sure you’re taken care of, no questions asked.

Together, we can make sure every family in our community has good food on the table this season.
