The Pacific Northwest’s fastest-growing Renaissance Faire. Knights. Taverns. Jousting. Music. Fantasy. Chaos. Community. It is I, your king. Henry VIII. Huzzah!

Join 20,000+ guests this October for a weekend you’ll talk about all year long. A Royal Message from King Henry VIII

Good day my loyal subjects. And as your anointed sovereign, the wellbeing of my people is foremost on my mind. Now I know what you may be thinking, “But he is a king! What could he possibly know how us common folk have suffered these many years?” Well, let it be of some comfort to

One of the best parts of the Renaissance Faire community is how willing people are to share what they know.

Ask someone how they got started making chainmail, sewing costumes, blacksmithing, dancing, or telling stories, and you'll usually get an answer that starts with, "Well, I took a class..."

Every expert was a beginner once. Every craftsperson started with their first project. Every performer started by trying something new.

That's why we love offering workshops.

Sometimes all it takes is one class to discover a hobby you'll be talking about for years.

A few months from now, someone is going to start a story with, "Remember when we were at Faire and..."

Maybe it'll be something funny. Maybe it'll be something unexpected. Maybe it'll be one of those moments that gets brought up every year afterward.

Nobody ever knows which moments are going to become the stories.

They happen in passing. A wrong turn down a pathway. A conversation with a stranger. A joke that somehow never stops being funny.

Then before you know it, it's part of your personal Faire lore.

The best stories from this year's Faire haven't happened yet.

Somewhere in your friend group, someone has already bought their Faire tickets.

They're not keeping it a secret, either. There's a decent chance they've already dropped the link in a group chat, mentioned it at dinner, or started asking who else is going.

That's usually how it starts.

One person commits. Another decides they're in too. Then someone starts talking about costumes, somebody else starts making weekend plans, and before long the trip has taken on a life of its own.

It happens every year.

One day October feels far away. The next day you're finding out half the people you know already have their tickets, and suddenly the plans are happening whether you're ready or not.

Every Faire group has them.

The booth you always stop at first. The show nobody is allowed to miss. The place you meet when everyone inevitably gets separated. The food you swear you'll try something different from this year, and somehow end up ordering again anyway.

None of it was planned.

Somewhere along the way, a favorite performer became a tradition. A meeting spot became a tradition. A joke became a tradition.

That's one of the strange things about Faire. You don't just make memories there. You build little rituals that somehow become part of every year that follows.

Most people probably thought of theirs before they even finished reading this.

You know the type.

They're the "maybe next year" friend. The one who finally agrees to come, buys a cheap costume online, and spends the drive sitting casually in the back while everyone else talks about last year and all the things they can't wait to do again.

Then they find something cool in the marketplace, end up laughing harder than anyone else at a show, and share a drink in the tavern with the people you've been meeting up with at Faire for years.

A few days later, the Ren Faire TikToks start showing up. Then they're talking about costume ideas for next year and asking who that one performer was.

And that's when you know.

They've been bitten by the Ren Faire bug, and there's no going back.

One of the things that surprises people about the Renaissance Faire community is how often curiosity turns into a new hobby.

One year they're walking through Faire admiring a knight's armor or a merchant's handcrafted wares. The next year they're sitting around a table learning how to weave steel rings together with their own hands.

It starts with a simple question: "How is that made?"

Before long they're learning new skills, meeting new people, and discovering that some of the most rewarding parts of this community happen long before Faire weekend arrives.

Every year we meet people who come for the event and stay for everything that comes with it.

That's exactly why we host workshops like our upcoming Chainmail Workshop. Check the comments for details and registration information.

POV: It's late afternoon at Faire.

Your feet are tired. You've been wandering for hours.

Your abs ache a little from laughing, and your friends are still talking about the moment one of them got pulled onto the stage while you wait in line for another glass of mead.

The sun is starting to drop, music is drifting through the grounds, and for a little while you've forgotten about work, deadlines, and everything waiting for you back home.

You don't want the day to end.

And somehow, that's the feeling you remember all year long.

A surprising number of people came to the Spokane Renaissance Faire looking for a fun weekend and accidentally found an entire community.

Some met friends they still talk to years later. Some discovered hobbies they never expected to have. Some found a place where they could show up exactly as themselves and feel like they belonged.

The Faire lasts a weekend.

The friendships, traditions, and memories tend to stick around a lot longer.

What's something unexpected the Faire brought into your life?

One of the funniest parts of ticket launch day is watching the community wake back up all at once.

Within hours, people start coordinating weekends, sharing links with friends, talking about costumes, and making promises they're definitely going to stick to their budget this year.

History suggests otherwise.

Faire season is officially underway, and judging by the excitement already building, faire can't get here fast enough.

The waiting is over, faire season has officially begun.

Someone is about to become the designated trip planner whether they wanted the job or not. Fabric stores are about to see some things. New adventures are being planned, old stories are being told again, and October suddenly feels a whole lot closer.

Early Bird tickets for the 2026 Spokane Renaissance Faire are officially on sale.

This year's adventure includes:

• Two days of Faire
• Two nights of Knightfall
• The Wellermen, Derina Harvey Band, and Knorrwood
• Hundreds of performers, merchants, and immersive experiences waiting to be discovered

Whether you're returning for another year or finally making your first trip to the Faire, we'll see you in October.

The countdown starts now.
