It has been an incredible blessing to have my pet sitting career! Over these last seven years since we moved from California to Spokane, I’ve had the opportunity to establish a close relationship with several wonderful clients and their sweet pets!  I’m very grateful that my husband, Frank Martin has supported me and my assignments, near and far away from home. With the grace of God and my commitment to make sure every pet I watch has been safe, relaxed, entertained, pampered, all medical needs met and constantly loving them! I have been so honored to the clients that have flown me to Arizona, California, Utah, Del Mar, Switzerland and now as I write in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and my local clients that have trusted me with their fur babies in their home. An amazing pet sitting assignment was offered to me from Dr Mary Gardner, DVM!! I met Dr. Mary when we lived in Yorba Linda. I started out assisting her with some administrative duties and then she asked me to personally watch her pets. She has a passion for caring for special needs and senior pets. She trained me how to provide the best medical care and environment for them. She has since moved out of CA, and has flown me to Florida to watch her dogs and cats. Today, I am most honored and excited to be flying to
LONDON to watch her sweet pup. My first time in Europe was Switzerland to petsit and this will be my first time in London. I am forever grateful and blessed to have Dr. Mary choose me to care for her boy for 3.5 weeks❤️

Having a great time petsitting Coco. She just loves her toys especially the stuffed ones that have a squeeker. Ever wonder why they are attracted to toys that make noise?
A
high-pitched squeak toy wakes your dog’s dormant prey drive and compels him to shake, chomp, and dismantle. Once I see the plastic squeeker or stuffing come out, I immediately pick up
and dispose so there is no chance of swallowing.

A wonderful time caring for this sweet year and a half old pup in La Habra Heights California. She is my greatest companion here and daily gives me activity, laughter and love.

It has and still is a joy petsitting Finnigan. He is a five year old Jack Russell mix. His house is only a few minutes from mine. During the early mornings, before it gets hot, we take a short walks, then, mid day, we go down into the basement and play ball, then in the evening times he sometimes will curl up on my lap, and we will watch a Netflix movie together. It has been a great week with him, and let a sweet boy!

If you can stay home with your pets during the enening of July 4th, please do❤️ If not, here are some ideas to help your pet cope and hopefully not run away due to the loud fireworks 💥

Close windows and curtains to muffle the sound of fireworks. Blackout your doggy safe haven, so they can't see any flashes outside. Put on some music or TV to mask the firework sounds. If possible, lock gates and doggy door until fireworks stop.

As a petsitter, my mission is to make every moment a happy one for my clients pets. It is truly all about them with me providing routine, security, playtime, grooming, sleeping with them, talking to them and lots of petting and love. When they are relaxed and happy my goal is achieved. Today is my last day watching Maggie Bandit, their parents come home tonight. I received this text from my client and it blessed me❤️

A beautiful day today, Petsitting, these lovely pups.  They love their walk in the morning, their afternoon dinner, and just hanging out on these big cozy cushions in the comfort of their own home 🏡

This summer, I have several pets to watch between May to August. I’ve been petsitting this loving yellow Labrador named Jake for about 5 years now. He has younger brother named Tiegh (who is fetching awesome) It’s a blessing to have these wonderful clients all these years❤️

Loved petsitting Rikan ( orange Tabby) and Angel. Rikan is 17 years old and his sister Angel is 15 years old and needs Thyroid daily. Their pet owners are awesome in taking such great care of them!

Summer is around the corner☀️If you take your pup for daily or occasional walks. A few important reminders to help your pet avoid being over heated, dehydrated and getting burnt paw pads.

Take them out early in the morning or evening hours, (don’t forget to bring some water for your pet) Walk your pet in the grass if possible, to avoid hot surfaces burning their paws. If your pet is outside make sure they have access to shade and plenty of cool water. The best recommendation I could give is, if it’s hot outside, Please bring them inside and DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE CAR❤️

Just love taking these two for a car ride. Went to Walgreens to pick up a prescription, Holly was thrilled to be offered this milkbone. Mitzy was also offered a bone, but declined.

Highly recommend Grunts Grooming-Mobile Grooming! Christian Workman did a fabulous job grooming our dogs Holly and Kasey at our home. When they were done the seemed so happy being pampered in a great safe environment!

I never “chicken” out when showing your pets love and attention. I‘m with Miss Marvel and Thor❤️

New petsitting clients❤️This is their pup Thor❤️He is an 8 month old Golden Retriever. Yesterday was our first day together. We went on two walks, played “Jean fetch my toy game” snuggled watching a Netflix and making sure I slept on the edge of the bed❤️ He is absolutely a great loving boy!

How often do you change your dogs water bowl?

Pets should have their water bowl cleaned out everyday.
Water bowls tend to collect a slimy build-up called biofilm, which allows harmful bacteria to take over. After a couple of days of not cleaning the bowl, you can actually feel the slimy residue. All of us prefer our beverages in a clean smelling container, your pets do too! Also, don’t forget to wash their food bowl daily with hot soap
and water. 💧

How exciting to be back again in Sandy, Utah Petsitting two Golden doodles. When I first came 3 yrs ago, both were classified as having high anxiety. After the first day and a lot of soft speaking, gentle interaction and respect for them to take their time to get a sense of me, comfort and trust achieved! My pet sitting assignments have been in California, Idaho, Arizona, Florida and I was flown to Switzerland for 3.5 weeks to care for a lovely Golden Retriever named Buttercup. I love caring for pets and ensure they are happy, relaxed and all needs met!

Having a long relationship with a client and their pet is a blessing! One of my oldest clients and first friends we met here in Spokane is moving out of state. Debbie and Leonard hired me about 4 years ago to watch their precious Ringo. Ringo is a fun energetic Jack Russell who I have enjoyed immensely! I have cherished our walks, playtimes and snuggling at nights together. if I get the chance to petsit Ringo in his new home, I’m ready❤️

On an update of considering taking your cats camping….my current advice is…don’t! They are healthier at home with no stress. Unless you start them out as a kitten it may work out better.
