Book spotlight by Susan at the Headquarters Library who read All Better Now by Neal Shusterman!
📚 In one sentence:
There's a new pandemic, but everyone who gets Crown Royale feels at peace--even if they die--so some survivors attempt to create a utopia by spreading the disease, while some of the unafflicted race to invent a cure.
📚 Emoji description: 😷🦠☺️
📚 I loved the Arc of the Scythe series by Neal Shusterman and think he has some of the most interesting plots (and best writing) out there.
📚 In the acknowledgements, the author references that it's being developed for the screen and I hope that's true! I would love to watch an adaptation to see who gets cast and how they handle a showdown inside a Buc-ee's.
📚 I suppose Marielle is my favorite character because she behaves the most like I would in that situation, but Dame Havilland was the most fun.
Wear white to glow in the dark and win prizes at Teens Play: Blacklight Bingo on Friday, June 26 at 3pm at the Headquarters Library! Open to the first 50 teens.

Book spotlight by Amanda at the Woodruff Library who read The Music of Us by Emerald Alexandrea!
📚 In one sentence:
Lucy needs to find a way to help save her mom’s beloved cat café, the only problem is that she’ll have to ask her famous/ex-best friend/first crush to help her out to bring more customers in.
📚 Emoji description: ☕🎸🐈
📚 Why did you choose this book?
This book sounded like a cute, start-of-summer romance and because Woodruff will be hosting our very own cat café on July 30th from 4-5 pm!
📚 My favorite character is the resident, kleptomaniac cat Rumpelstiltskin or Rumple for short.

Our teen artist for June is Caitlin!
🎨 Caitlin is 15 and attends Byrnes High School.
🎨 She loves to dance, hang out with friends, and make different art pieces!
🎨 Caitlin likes to work with acrylic paint, chalk pastel, and so many others.
🎨 Her teacher has her class create art off of a certain feeling or inspiration, so sometimes she draws inspiration from something like her anxiety to tell a story about it.
🎨 Fun fact: Caitlin has been dancing since she was 3!
Stop by the Teen Hub at the Headquarters Library to see Caitlin’s work through the end of this month!
