Achieve Program

ACHIEVE offers GED preparation with an incentive. If you need your GED and are between the ages of 16-24, you can receive money for obtaining your GED within a set, established goal. One of the trainings that ACHIEVE offers to its participants is CellBotics. These participants have received their certification as a cell phone for repair technician.

ACHIEVE | USC Upstate The ACHIEVE (Academic Challenges Helping Individuals Expand Values and Education) Program is administered by the University of South Carolina Upstate.

ACHIEVE participated in two outreach events last night, one at the Spartanburg County LIbrary Communities Matter and at the Vocational Rehab on Church St, Spartanburg, at the Transition Alliance event. Today, Ranee, our certification specialist and business manager, is in Union at the Wellvista event at the Truluck Center.

Kendall trained in CellBotics with Nikki Russell, the CellBotics instructor and mentor. Kendall is now doing a follow-up work experience in cellphone repair. Thank you, Nikki!!

Work Experiences are a major part of training at ACHIEVE. The goal is to let a participant do a paid work experience in a field of interest. Sometimes, and quite a few this year, turn into employment. This is Amanda at her current WE that will hopefully become her employment.

ACHIEVE students are getting ready for a big September with lots of leadership skills training and advanced skills training. More to come as these happen!!

ACHIEVE recently had four students to receive their CellBotics certification. We plan to partner with CellBotics for future trainings, which trains to repair electronics with cellphone repair being primary. Each student will be referred to a job. Look for photos soon.

Youth Alliance Leadership Community Service Day--Dec 10, 2014
