One good thing came out of my little accident last week.

People see the finished beer and think brewing is all fun and games.

What they don't see is the cleaning, scrubbing, lifting, hauling, troubleshooting, and occasionally getting reminded that boiling wort is really, really hot.

After more than 25 years of brewing, I recently picked up a few burns from some hot wort.
Nothing that won't heal, but it was a good reminder that making great beer takes a lot more than tossing ingredients into a kettle.
Brewing can involve hot liquids, steam, chemicals, heavy equipment, and long days. Even experienced brewers can have accidents.

The good news? The beer turned out great.

Stay safe, wear your PPE, and respect the process.
