It’s time to stand up and fight for solidarity ✊ IUPAT DC 16 is no stranger to the battle. We held the line and all the trades stood with us. Northern Nevada fights together and stays together. Solidarity for life.

And the fight continues! We are here to fight for the workers. The Capital Glass Glazing Campaign is at the finish line. We will continue to stand by these workers who wish to be recognized and have a chance to collectively bargain for a better future!

Today is a big day for our Union! Glazers from Capital Glass will have a chance to vote and be recognized by their employer to collectively bargain and form a Union. This can change the lives of all the workers, giving them power and dignity in the workplace. Union Power is the People’s Power

Keeping our community looking FRESH 👀. Today members of local 567 volunteered with to repaint Baseball dugouts for the upcoming season. Nothing says “play ball!!” like a fresh coat of paint.

Local 567 and the Finishing Trades Institute out at local High Schools in the Reno Sparks area, recruiting and educating the community of the opportunity’s our trades have to offer.

What a pleasure it was to give out a 50-year, 35-year, and a 30-year set of pins at our December 2024 membership meeting. Congratulations to Brother Haas, Brother Brown, and Brother Mowrey on your dedication to maintaining your status as a member of the IUPAT. Each one of you have helped our union grown and fostered the next generation of union leaders. Thank you for all that you have done!

With last week being National Apprentice Week, we are proud to share this years 2024 Apprentice’s of the year. This was truly a tough decision as we believe all our apprentices deserve this award. But our finalists ended up beingBrother Clow (Painter)and Sister Hernandez-Gutierrez (Drywall Finishing). Both are great examples of hard working individuals, dedicated to learning their crafts, and passionate about what I means to be a union member. Congratulations to them and all their hard work.

Local 567 Drywall Finishers Apprenticeship class is in full swing. Check out the amazing work being done at our training center. With guidance from their instructor Juan B, these apprentices are taking their skills to a whole new level. Using creativity and technique to make designs with drywall. Incredible work!!

Big shout out to the Local 567 Volunteer Activists Committee (VAC) who spent their time on a Saturday working to ensure our communities waterways stay clean and free of pollution. Thanks to the partnership with and they were able to mark over 50 storm drains that lead to our area wildlife habitats.
