We seriously have the sweetest group of kittens right now. We've had quite a few visitors this week, and every single time someone sits down in the kitten room, they're instantly surrounded by a bunch of curious little faces. They climb into laps, ask for pets, chase toys, and just want to be part of whatever you're doing.

Seeing so many confident, friendly, and affectionate kittens all together is pretty special. They're full of personality, and it's impossible not to smile when you're in the room with them.

Angus Update 🤍

It's hard to believe Angus has been in his new home for almost a week already! He is settling in so beautifully, and our hearts couldn't be happier. This past weekend, his new family took him to Stewart Falls, and it looks like he had the best time exploring with his people. They tell us he's becoming more comfortable every single day. His tail is wagging more often, he's started giving sweet morning kisses, and he's discovered that snuggles are one of his favorite things.

Watching a dog like Angus finally relax, trust, and let his personality shine is exactly why we do what we do. Thank you to his amazing family for giving him the patience, love, and chance he deserved. We couldn't be happier for you, Angus. ❤️

Urgent Foster Needed for Sunflower!

Meet Sunflower, our newest rescue!
She is an absolute sweetheart with people, knows how to sit, is
incredibly smart, and loves nothing more than belly rubs.
We urgently need a foster home for her. Before we pulled Sunflower, we were not aware she didn’t do well with other dogs. Because of our limited funding and staffing, our dogs spend most of the day together outside of their kennels. To keep everyone safe, we’ve had to put the dogs on a rotation schedule, which means everyone is getting less time out than they deserve.
We truly believe Sunflower could thrive in a home environment and would likely do best as the only dog or with calm, lower-energy dogs.
She also came to us with an injury to her back foot. It has healed wonderfully and now only needs a little ointment applied once a day.
If you’re able to foster Sunflower, even temporarily, please send us a DM. You’d be giving this sweet girl the chance she deserves while helping us care for the rest of our dogs, too.

Happy Adoption Day, Minnie! ❤️

Sweet Minnie is officially home! Minnie is the first of her two siblings to find her forever family, and we couldn't be happier for her. We think it's safe to say she's already feeling right at home... because she fell asleep curled up in her new families arms. 🥹❤️ There's no sweeter sign that she knows she's safe and loved.

Where Does Your Adoption Fee Go?

Sometimes people ask why rescues charge adoption fees. The truth is, by the time one of our animals is ready for adoption, we've already invested far more than their adoption fee covers.

Before they go home, our animals receive:
- Vaccines
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Veterinary exams
- Food and daily care
- Toys, bedding, and enrichment
- Endless love and care from our dedicated volunteers

And for many animals, that's just the beginning. Some require dental work, surgeries, medications, specialty food, or weeks (sometimes months) of rehabilitation before they're healthy enough to find a family. An adoption fee isn't about making money. It's about helping us continue saying "yes" to the next animal that needs us. Every adoption truly saves another life. ❤️

We're incredibly grateful to every person who opens their heart and home to one of our animals. Thank you!

Week 3 of posting Angus until he gets adopted...
Except this week, he got adopted. ❤️
Today, after 225 days with us, Angus finally went home.
This is such a huge moment for him. Before coming to us, Angus had already spent several months in a shelter, so he’s been waiting for his family for far too long.
We couldn’t be happier for this sweet boy. Watching him walk out the door with his new family is exactly why we do what we do. We hope your new life is everything you deserve.

☀️ Adoption Event Update ☀️

We wanted to let everyone know that we have made the difficult decision to cancel our remaining two adoption events at The Hive this summer.

After our event last week, it became clear that the extreme heat has been too hard on our dogs. Their health and well-being will always come first, and we don't feel it's fair to ask them to spend time outdoors in these temperatures. We want to thank everyone who came out to visit us at our previous events this summer, we truly appreciate you. ❤️

Be sure to stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on future adoption events and other ways to meet our amazing animals.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR LONG-TIMER, MAIZY! 🩷🐾

After over a year of waiting, Maizy has finally found her forever home!

Maizy came to All Paws Count in June 2025 as an owner surrender. She quickly became one of our most recognizable cats, our big, fluffy, chunky girl who greeted so many visitors in our big cat room. If you ever stopped by to meet our cats, there's a good chance you met Maizy. A few months ago, Maizy moved into an incredible foster home, and we are so thankful her foster gave her that opportunity. Being in a home environment helped us learn even more about her and gave her the chance to shine outside of the shelter. With the help of her amazing foster, Maizy found the home she'd been waiting for.

Congratulations, sweet girl!
