Hard to believe my summer wildflower photography season is starting to wind down, and fall is coming around the corner far too quickly!!

‘tis the season for extended family photos!! I love getting to meet all these fun families every summer. And what’s not to love about being able to do the photos right in the comfort of your own backyard? When it works out for everyone to do them right at home, it makes it even more special because of the memories attached of being right at your own home. 🥹🏡

The most magical Albion basin wildflower session!! It has been such a blast being up there these last few weeks, soaking in the beauty of this stunning location. 💫🌸🌼

I’m working like crazy trying to get everyone’s summer sessions edited… And eventually get them all shared here, including the ones from last year that I missed. So many beautiful sessions and families!!

I’ve been capturing this sweet family since their twin boys were just toddlers. It has been such an absolute joy and privilege getting to watch them grow up right before my eyes. Having clients meet me at strangers and become friends over the years is something I treasure and look forward to so much!! ❤️

These extended family photos, and these adorable playful photos of these sweet cousins… just twirling and being perfectly themselves during that magical golden hour light! That’s what it’s all about. 💫💕

The Great Saltair is a great location that has a similar look and feel to the salt flats without the extra driving. I am long overdue to share these ones, but they turned out so sweet!

This session at Utah Lake was perfect in every way! 💫 I love that we have this spot to get those muted neutral tones, tall reed grasses, and perfect coastal vibes (while being kinda landlocked- haha). ;) It has been such a blast getting to capture this cute family as they have grown up!!

Mark your calendars for August 1 at 9 AM, in which I’ll be opening up my scheduling for the remainder of the year. 

This is also the time to book if you were planning on booking one of my Denver, Colorado sessions with me! I love taking a trip out to my home state every year to see old friends and do photography. I will be out there from September 27-30, in hopes that we can capture the peak fall colors out there!!

I also have a little announcement for those who have been around for a while and are used to the scheduling system I have done for a few years: I plan to phase out my current system of offering frequent back to back family mini session dates, in favor of taking fewer sessions altogether and moving towards a schedule in which I mostly take full length family sessions. As I have moved away from doing proofing galleries, I have also shifted the nature of my sessions to be a little bit longer, and including a lot more photos. 

My hope with this is to instead give my clients an easier experience start to finish, and a gallery that reflects my creative freedom to get lots of posed and smiling images, as well as images that are candid, artistic, and full of movement. I absolutely love being able to time and schedule my sessions perfectly so that we get the most amazing possible dynamic lighting, and dreamy golden hour landscapes.

This means if you’re wanting to snag one of my mini session options, now is the time to do so!! I may still offer these once or twice a year in the future, as a special, *truly short* mini session day on special occasions. But it won’t be my norm anymore. As photographers, we are always shifting and growing along this journey, and sometimes that comes with making little changes that better reflect our brands, as well as what makes the most sense for our families and life circumstances. I’m really excited about this shift, and the creative freedom and expanded gallery sizes I will be offering.
