The Capps

One of Eric’s final requests was that his band mates from the Capps play at his memorial service. Our brother has never let us down, so how could we possibly refuse? Eric received quite the “send off” on Saturday as hundreds, if not over a thousand mourners showed up en mass, weaving through what seamed an endless line, margined with 49 years of artwork, tributes, and photographs of an amazing life cut way way too short.
We did our very best to honor our brother in the best way we know how, by cranking it up to 11 and shouting at the sky!! For such a sad occasion, the outpouring of love and fellowship was absolutely unparalleled. Those who took part had no choice but to leave with full hearts, and decades worth of old stories and memories.
We love our brother forever, his irreplaceable beats, and his unique vocal backings were certainly missed as we all fought through our personal waves of emotion to try and say goodbye with one last set. Unfortunately, like the lives of all of those who had the pleasure of knowing this amazing human, the Capps will forever be missing an integral piece of its soul. Eric Clarke Forever!!!!
