Yesterday the 3 of us walked just shy of 17 miles, 37,000+ steps, for 6.5 hours from one end of Manhattan to the other. I’ve been to this busy island so many times but got to see it from a whole new perspective. Lucky for me I had the best company to make this trek with! #

This year’s “ski trip” was probably one of my favorites yet. Tasty drinks, delicious food, excellent accommodations, and the very best company I could ask for 🤍

In an effort to show a little more gratitude this year I’m starting what I’ll affectionately refer to as Grati-Tuesday!

Since the girls went back to school and my husband back to work, it’s the first day I’ve had to myself since before winter break. I love my people, but I also have found I really enjoy when the house is quiet. I used to have a habit of driving all over and keeping myself occupied out of the house, but lately I’ve focused more on staying home and tackling decluttering projects I’ve put off. I ended up getting so much accomplished before the holidays.

In the new year I’m looking forward to learning some new skills and starting new projects to change things up a bit in our home. Leave a 🩷 if you wanna see what I take on first!

In the past, by New Year’s Eve I would have a list of “resolutions” for a new year new me and it took me a long time to figure out I needed to stop. Though created with good intentions, this list of resolutions usually proved to be too much for me to follow through with and ultimately lead to feelings of failure.

I’ve learned I don’t need to try to reinvent myself every year and learned to be more gentle with the person I am already. This year, all I’m looking to accomplish is to protect my peace and not let little things become big things in my mind. I hope you can do the same and that your 2024 is better than you can even imagine 🥂

Usually our Elf, Lighta, comes the day after Thanksgiving, but she was a little delayed this year. We found out today by an official letter from the North Pole that Santa gave her a promotion so she sent a new Elf to take her place 🙃 She certainly arrived in style and Aria named her Phoebe! We can’t wait to see what she has in store for us this year 🥰and hopefully Lighta shows up at some point for a visit 😋 (swipe for a sweet pic of her)
