That IRS notice sitting on your table? It's missing the one thing that would actually make it legal. 👮‍♂️

Every year, the IRS and state revenue agencies mail out requests to file — and most of them are legally hollow.

Here's what they routinely leave out: 👇

1️⃣ They never cite the actual liability statute — the specific law that makes YOU liable.
2️⃣ They don't identify what tax, under what code section, is being imposed.
3️⃣ They don't name the Information Return that supposedly triggered the notice.
4️⃣ They never establish your legal status well enough to prove you're actually the "taxpayer" they're addressing.

That's not a technicality.

As the court put it in Botta v. Scanlon, 288 F.2d 504, 508 (1961): a taxing official cannot lawfully assess someone as a "taxpayer" — and seize their property — without first identifying them as a person the statute actually makes liable, with a real chance for judicial review.

And under 26 U.S.C. §7491, the burden is on the government to prove you're a "taxpayer" before it ever shifts to you.

Most people never ask the question.

They just assume the notice is valid and pay — because nobody ever taught them what to demand: the statute, the code section, the proof of status. 📜

They've been using language tricks…….

AND commercial codes to strip away your real property, your liberty, and your sovereignty for decades and they buried it in one word: "income." 💲

Congress admitted it themselves.

Congressional Record, March 27, 1943: "It is still fundamentally an excise or duty with respect to the privilege of carrying on any activity or owning any property that produces income."

Not a tax ON you. It’s an excise tax that doesn’t even apply to us at all!

📜The Supreme Court drew the same line in Eisner v. Macomber, 252 U.S. 189 (1920): "income" means gain from capital, labor, or the two combined — not simply money paid to you for your work.

It's time to hold them accountable.It's time to learn the law they're using against you — and flip the script. 🔁

MOST people hand over their license without question…. But the law is clear: Officers need reasonable articulable suspicion (RAS) that you committed a crime before demanding your ID. 🪪

Traffic stops are often treated like automatic compliance, BUT they are NOT….. 🚫

Cases like Murdoch vs. Pennsylvania and Shuttlesworth vs. Birmingham already set the precedent. A license is only required when you’re engaged in commerce, not when you’re simply traveling. Knowing the difference between commerce vs. Private travel is key. 🔑

The officer works under oath and when they ignored case law, they step outside of that oath. That is when knowledge becomes your best protection.
