Iām laughing and smiling in the pix and video but Red Hill Country Club was challenging!! Had ya Boy frustrated more than a couple of holes!! ššš
First thing you notice about this course is all the majestic different types of trees and those beautiful foothill views of the Mountains. I did some research about this course before I played.
This private historic course was built by George C. Thomas Jr. Same guy who designed Riviera in LA and Los Angeles Country Club.
The lesson for this course: KEEP. THE. BALL. IN. THE. FAIRWAY!! ššš
If you miss the fairway you are in the rough or blinded by trees. I have NEVER seen or played in this type of rough grass. The grass is like ropes and twine! High, thick, āgood luck finding your ballā rough. Grabbing and holding your club type grass.
This course is not super long, but those tight fairways, thick rough and small, super fast greens will absolutely demand the best version of your game.
Red Hill got me yesterday!! Actually, it got all of us!! Iāll be back tho to redeem myself!! ššš
