Hey y’all! Little introduction here and an invite to all of our local followers! First off, I’m Kristin, I own a little boutique in Cary, NC...Monroe 26. I am the face and hands behind UUT. Confused? That’s ok! Here is our UUT story: “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” -Dr. Seuss
My personality screams to be creative and pushing the normal boundaries makes my world go round! Mix the patterns, sport the colors and don’t look back, (you’re not going that way) In 2016, I saw a vision of something that I knew our customers would love! With LOTS and some more trial and error, Urban Upcycled Threads was created and grew fast! I personally hand pick each shirt, shirts are then dipped dyed in three different solutions, we call that the “secret sauce”!! Even the temperature of the water, washing machine & dryer temp play a part! See what the secret sauce does is, it pulls the different colors from the treads of the shirts, that is what gives the ombré look! Remember back in elementary school, yellow & blue make green! Well in this case, You never know what you are going to get! Did I just quote: Forrest Gump? Ok, Ok, Ok! ADD here! Back to the story! NO shirt can be duplicated! Which means they are truly, “One-of-a-Kind”!!! We (there is a team) provided over 100 stores across the United States! From Cali, to NY, to Alaska and CO. Past 2 years, we have scaled that down tremendously! I learned very quickly that quantity is not better than quality! There are a few core boutiques that I LOVE and we keep them stocked!!!
