FYI, the public needs to know!
Look into the training your professional has had in "Dry Needling". Many professionals that are not Acupuncturists, who have never inserted needles into muscles, fascia or inbetween, take a weekend class in Acupuncture or "Dry Needling" and are able to "do" it without a license in Acupuncture.
Patients that come in to see me that have had "Dry Needling" performed on them say it was very painful and did not resolve the issue. I am not surprised because the practitioner did not take into account the internal body dysfunction that caused the issue, plus they lacked efficient training and background in acupuncture.
Please make sure you have "Dry Needling" performed by a Licensed Acupuncturist that has gone through 3-4 years of training, has taken Board exams and is overseen by a National Board to ensure practice compliance
If you need more coaxing, Google: Olympics/Dry needling/pneumothorax. (Caused by non-acupuncturists)
Thank your Acupuncturist for the extensive training and continuing education they need to maintain your health safely!!!
