To use our 87-88 tank in an earlier chassis, you will need 87-88 tank straps(and bolts).
The early chassis brace is taller and might hit the tank. If that happens, you can flip yours (it does change your ground clearance though), or we have a laser-cut flat brace for $69.95 (pictured below).

We are thrilled to introduce our reproduction 11.9 gallon gas tank. Each tank features an internal welded steel baffle that will last longer than the factory plastic. Direct fit for 87-88 models but will fit 84-86 Fieros with minor modifications. Sold separately or with the sending unit, pump, strainer, lock ring, straps and filler neck hose in one convenient package.
