📣 📚 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 📚📣

Our family grew by one tiny human this summer and we are moving on from our lovely little home and .

I’ve been assured by the new owners, who move in the third week of August, that they intend to keep going, but they asked that we remove all of the donations in the basement—there’s a pretty large amount!

SO- THIS Sunday I’ll be putting out all the basement books plus some really great reads from our family’s personal collection (2 lit majors) for the taking. Stop by and take a book or 2 or 12 home with you.

Includes: adult fiction, 90s YA, picture books/kid lit, misc. assortment of donations through the years.

It’s been a pleasure to provide this resource to our community the past 3 years 💗 we’ll miss seeing you, your dogs, and children at the library.

Although we’re missing a door (and our second shelf, the library is really showing its age/love lately!), I’ve discovered the books stay quite safe from the elements so I did a little restock, including (finally!) some children’s books in the basement stash.

Flipped through this one on a whim and discovered the author lives right here in South Portland! 💗🐶🐾

Hi hi! Got one of these "banned books" at home and ready to donate it so others can read it, too? wants your "banned book"! We will GLADLY offer any one of these books to our visitors.

Here are 50 books Texas parents want banned from school libraries Records requests uncovered dozens of attempts to remove library books from schools, nearly all related to titles dealing with racism, gender or sexuality.

Happy New Year! 🎆🥳 still has Christmas books and someone put in some brand new-seeming cocktail/cookbooks. Real Maine Food has been claimed (by me! ☺️) but other good finds remain!
